CPhA/ASP members in their second to last year of pharmacy school (3rd year of a 4-year program or 2nd year of a 3-year program) who have a 2.5 GPA or better.
To be considered, the following must be submitted:
Ø Official application form detailing specific qualities of character and leadership in each of the following areas:
· Academic/Honor Societies
· Academic/Professional Organizations
· Community Service Activities
· Service to the University
Ø Two letters of recommendation.
Ø A 1 - 2 page Project Proposal for an innovative approach to addressing a pharmacy-related issue of strategic importance to PFC. For 2009, PFC is requesting that proposals be for projects designed to improve the quality and consistency of pharmacist medication consultations within and among pharmacies.
Please note that PFC only intends to use proposals as a tool to assess candidate aptitude for leadership and improving the community and profession. There should be no expectation that PFC will execute or fund a winner’s proposal, or that a winner will use their scholarship monies to carry out any work related to their proposal. Given the intended use of the proposal, it is requested that candidates omit non-critical details and limit it to 2 pages maximum (typical proposals actually run several pages in length). The proposal shall include the following sections:

II. Brief Description
