Nominations Are Now Being Accepted for PFC’s Awards!

 

The Pharmacy Foundation of California (PFC) believes that it is important to recognize and honor the outstanding accomplishments of individuals and organizations that have made a significant difference to the "community of pharmacy".  That is why we are proud to announce that nominations are now being accepted for our most prestigious awards, the Jane Boggess Advancement of Pharmacy Practice Award and Michelotti Public Health Prize.  Both of these awards will be presented at our Annual Awards & Appreciation Breakfast Banquet that will be held at Outlook 2009 in Anaheim, CA.  The deadline for award nominations is October 31, 2008.  Click on the award names above to view the criteria and for more information about the nomination process.

 

 

Attention Students & Faculty at all California Schools of Pharmacy!

 

Do you know a student that demonstrates leadership and an interest in advancing the profession of pharmacy?  If so, they could be your school of pharmacy's Robert C. Johnson Scholarship candidate and have the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship.  Up to three (3) scholarships will be awarded at our Annual Awards & Appreciation Breakfast Banquet that will be held at Outlook 2009.  Click here for the scholarship criteria and guidelines; the deadline for candidate submissions is December 1, 2008.

 

Encourage your local patient counseling competition winner to participate in the 10th Annual California Statewide Patient Counseling Competition to show off their ability to counsel a patient successfully on appropriate medication use.  The competition will be held on the first day of Outlook 2009 and the winner will receive $1,000 to help fund their trip to the national competition.  Plus, all participants will receive recognition at our Annual Awards & Appreciation Breakfast Banquet that will be held at Outlook 2009.  For more information and competition guidelines, click here.
